शिक्षा सीखने-सिखाने की एक निरंतर प्रक्रिया है | इसका इतिहास इतना पुराना है जितना मानव इतिहास | तथापि शिक्षा कैसी हो, किस प्रकार भावी पीढी को अच्छी शिक्षा दी जाए यह हमेशा से चिंतन एवं खोज का विषय रहा है | आज देश का प्रबुद्ध जनमानस शिक्षा के प्रति गंभीर है, सामान्य जनता के बीच भी शिक्षा को लेकर जागरुकता बढी है तथा सरकारी प्रयास से भी शिक्षा को प्रत्येक बच्चे तक पहुँचाने की कोशिश की जा र्ही है लेकिन आज भी जब गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा का सवाल हमारे सामने आता है तब ऐसा महसूस होता है कि “बहुत दुर चलना है मंजिल से पहलॆ” |
